About TimeTally Tools
Our mission
TimeTally Tools exists to answer small, everyday math questions quickly and honestly. Whether you're an hourly worker double-checking a paycheck, a diner splitting a bill, a student tracking a GPA, or a freelancer sending an invoice, you should be able to get a reliable answer in seconds — without creating an account, downloading an app, or handing over personal data.
We keep every tool free. The site is supported by advertising, which means the tools never cost you anything and your inputs never leave your browser.
What the site offers
The site currently offers 11 free calculators across four categories:
- Time & Pay: Work Hours Calculator, Time Card Calculator, Overtime Calculator, Salary to Hourly Calculator
- Everyday Math: Tip Calculator, Percentage Calculator
- Dates: Age Calculator, Date Duration Calculator, Countdown Timer
- School & Work: GPA Calculator, Invoice Generator
Each calculator is a single, focused page: enter your numbers, get an instant result, and see the math behind it. No sign-up, no fees, no usage limits.
Editorial standards
- Accuracy first. Every formula is checked against standard definitions (for example, time-and-a-half overtime at 1.5× the regular rate, and the common 2,080 work-hour year for salary conversions). When a result is an estimate — such as overtime, which can vary by state and employer policy — we say so on the page.
- Plain language. Results are explained in everyday terms, with the math shown so anyone can verify the numbers.
- No dark patterns. We don't fake urgency, hide costs, or nudge you toward a purchase. The tools are genuinely free.
- Privacy by design. Calculations run locally in your browser. We don't collect your inputs, and there's no account system to leak them from.
- Corrections welcome. If you spot an error, tell us — we investigate and fix verified mistakes.
Who's behind the site
TimeTally Tools is built and maintained by the TimeTally Tools team — a small group of web developers and spreadsheet nerds who got tired of clunky, ad-choked calculator sites. We design and test every tool ourselves, check the math, and keep the pages fast and mobile-friendly.
Our experience is in building simple, reliable web utilities and explaining numbers clearly. We aren't payroll professionals, tax advisors, or lawyers — which is why our Disclaimer explains the limits of what our calculators can do.
